I have a mini-dachshund (and a beagle), and I have to say, I don’t think I could handle more than one! This guy is brave!
Also, if you are interested in helping dachshunds, either by donating, fostering or adopting, the Midwest Dachshund Rescue group is a great place to start. My parents gave me Bea for my birthday one year, but we rescued Bella the Beagle from our local Humane Society, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. If we ever get another dog, it will definitely be a rescue!
