The Monkey Business Institute is a Madison institution. Their Saturday improv shows are one of the hottest tickets in town, consistently selling out each weekend. I created a postcard for them to hand out at a special engagement to promote their workshops for kids.
The challenge was to keep the look consistent with their more edgy “adult” brand, while giving the postcard a kid-friendly feel. Using their established color palette, I injected an aqua blue for eye-catching contrast, and then used fun, friendly geometric shapes and numbers to grab people’s attention. Although I kept text to a minimum, using smart design strategies, I was able to fit a lot of information about their offerings onto the postcard.
